HEY! I’M DAVID. 👋
I’m a designer, illustrator, freelancer, coffee nerd, book addict, and dad joke enthusiast.
As the Founder of Walker Design Co. I specialise in creating brand identities, logos, packaging, marketing materials and websites that are engaging, impactful, and timeless.
I grew up listening to 40’s and 50’s swing and rock ‘n’ roll music, from Buddy Holly to Glenn Miller, and it sparked my love of things before my time. My style is heavily-influenced by this vintage design - from old newspaper adverts to big billboards, I like stuff that looked good 50, 60, 70 years ago and still looks good today and I love bringing that timeless quality of design to the businesses I work with.
After graduating from De Montfort University, I’ve worked in marketing and design roles for leading music industry publishers, fintech startups and everything in between, from agency-side to in-house. In 2022, I decided to take the leap and go it alone, starting Walker Design Co.
These days I work with clients big and small, and WDCO has graduated from my spare bedroom to its own little studio in my back garden. On an average day, you’ll find me sketching, designing and tweaking exciting brand identities and illustration with the help of my desk buddy/rescue puppy, Ivy.
