BRAND IDENTITY & DESIGN FOR THE DARKROOM
The Darkroom is a new co-working space in Ipswich, Suffolk, designed for photographers and creative professionals. Built in an old disused development studio, the space incorporates a coffee shop and dining area, breakout and meeting rooms, and low-cost development facilities for film photographers, along with an open-plan working space for everyone.

The Darkroom’s brand identity is designed to clearly communicate its offering, whilst incorporating a circular theme running through the visual identity. This serves as a metaphor for not only a lens aperture, but also the community element behind the brand and its members.

Brand Assets
To support the central visual identity, I created a series of brand assets, badges and type lockups that can be used across a variety of digital platforms - from social media to website, as well being used for physical assets - stickers, badges and coasters available as merch included with member’s welcome packs when they join.
Menu Design
To ensure a cohesive visual identity throughout the customer experience, I created a new menu design for the business’ in-house coffee shop and cafe, utilising the brand type system and colours.
